    How can we improve?

So it seems like our performance has been meh. Slow pace, lots of chances but not taking them.
How do you want the team to improve and start scoring more goals?

I think we should up the pace a little bit, maybe some of the senior players are slowing things down? I don't know.
The team should focus on Mata, I think he is the most creative player we have at the moment.

Torres can only score if we give him good deliveries, if only we had another player like Mata.

The midfield should dominate in possesion, rather than in defence. Many times I see Terry and Luiz just passing the ball back and forth and just time wasting but not really pushing the ball forward. (Not sure if its just me.)

    Defense should be improved.

We need to put up more effort in our midfield.

We must buy more younger and skillful players.

I could only think of these three now.

Not sure about our defence though, because we managed a lot of clean sheets in a row now, something we failed to do during the start of the season.

Our main focus should be scoring more goals.

I think we can't improve with the squad like that. Im sorry but its true. If it would be possible, we wouldn't have changed 3 managers or even more in a very short time. It's not managers fault, its squad. We need fresh young players like Mata. And I KNOW im right, cuz if you look it at that way<---since Mata came, he's been our player of the game EVERYGAME. And if we had more players like Mata, we'd be like Barca. If Hazard comes next year, we are a step closer to Barca, if know, we will become more and more like middtable team, not a big club anymore, and without CL, we won't atract Stars. SO IT IS A MUST TO BUY NEW YOUNG PLAYERS IN THE SUMMER

More midfield creativity would be my priority.

I don't think the defence is anywhere near as bad as some would have you believe. Apparent problems with the infamous high line, actually came about more as a result of individual errors and the player's in general inability to adapt to the new system. And up front? Create enough decent chances (from midfield) and Torres and Sturridge will start banging them away.

Back to the defence, AVB to his credit, recognised the problems with the new system, and reverted somewhat to an old style that the players were more comfortable with, tightening up at the back in the process. And now the defence is more or less sorted, we can start thinking about working on the midfield, and then on to the attack. That's how I see it.

WEll! There's a novel idea! Forgive the sarcasm, Kevlar, but surely that's a given! It's what we do in order to achieve that is the point at issue.

The changes will have to take place this summer, and we need to start with a good clear-out. Get rid of Malouda, Kalou, Ferreira, Bosingwa, Mikel, Drogba, Cole and Lampard.

Buy two decent pacy wingers, scrap the 4-4-3 system and play an attacking 4-4-2. Play Torres up front alongside Sturridge, and start playing the youngsters like Josh McEachran and Ryan Bertrand on a fairly regular basis.
