    Alex signs for PSG

This section will discuss about Alex's latest Transfer/Rumours.

Heres a latest news from Alex:

    Link

Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas has confirmed the club have received an offer from a Premier League rival for defender Alex.

Sky Sports sources on Wednesday revealed new QPR boss Mark Hughes had set his sights on the Brazilian and the Loftus Road side are believed to be the origin of the bid.

Alex wants to leave Chelsea and in December the centre-back had a transfer request accepted at Stamford Bridge.

He does not feature in the plans of Villas-Boas, who hopes this week to complete the signing of Bolton's Gary Cahill.
    Offers

Chelsea's manager said on Thursday afternoon: "From what I know from my chief executive, there has been an approach from a Premier League club.

"It is a player who we have accepted a transfer request for, so we have to listen to offers."

Alex had been connected with QPR earlier in January when Neil Warnock was still in charge, and it appears a move could still go ahead.

QPR owner Tony Fernandes on Wednesday revealed he was ready to spend money in the transfer market and hoped to sign somebody before the weekend match against Newcastle.

It seems that new arrival could now be Alex, who has proven his Premier League credentials at Chelsea since a loan spell with PSV Eindhoven came to an end in 2007.
Do you think we should sell to our rival QPR?

Well firstly, QPha are our "rivals" in their minds only. They may be located just a couple of miles away from Stamford Bridge, but in all other respects they're worlds apart. Bitter and jealous, they hate us with a passion. They hate us even more knowing full well that they never were and never will be anywhere near the same level as us, either on the pitch.

So no, I don't think we should sell Alex to QPha. He's far too good for them.

According to this, Alex doesn't want to know about the QPha offer (and who could possibly blame him):

ALEX has snubbed QPR and told Chelsea he does not want to join the relegation strugglers.

The Blues have yet to accept a firm *offer from Mark Hughes’ side who are willing to pay £3m for the Brazilian.

But sources close to the central *defender say he has no intention of swapping Chelsea for QPR and would prefer to join up with his former *manager *Carlo Ancelotti at PSG or head back to his own country.

Apparently we've agreed a fee with QPha for Alex, but the biggest stumbling block would appear to be Alex's desire to leave England. PSG and Juventus are also said to be interested.

    From the Guardian:

Queens Park Rangers 'agree fee for Chelsea defender Alex'

    • Brazilian defender could become Mark Hughes's first signing
    • Reports suggest Alex may wish to leave England

QPR have reportedly agreed a fee with Chelsea to take the defender Alex to Loftus Road.

Rangers had a bid turned down for theBrazilian earlier in the week but have now reached a consensus with their west London rivals.

They must now convince the 29-year-old to become Mark Hughes' first signing as manager, amid reports he may no longer wish to remain in England.

I often wonder how difficult it is for foreign players to live their lives in London. I could quite understand if Alex wanted to go somewhere warmer!

QPR beat Chelsea, and now they have Alex in their squad.
I hope we can beat them when we play them later in the season.

No they haven't got him yet. And don't forget QPha needed a massive amount of help from Chris Foy to scrape a 1-0 win against our nine men.

I hope we thrash the arse off them. And I would love nothing more than to see agent Sparky take the pikeys scumbags down.

Latest indications are that Alex is all set to join up with Ancelotti at PSG:

Alex snub for QPR as Chelsea defender closes in on £4m Ancelotti reunion at PSG

Alex is on the brink of a £4million move to Paris Saint-Germain after snubbing QPR to link up with former manager Carlo Ancelotti.

The defender has been frozen out at Chelsea since handing in a transfer request at the start of December and has been strongly linked with a short hop across to Loftus Road.

But the Brazilian, who also had offers from Santos and Juventus, wants to play under former Blues boss Ancelotti again.

Ancelotti is in charge of PSG and Alex was a favourite of the Italian during his time at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard is also wanted by the Ligue 1 big guns.

The Alex deal is a further setback for QPR manager Mark Hughes.

The new Loftus Road chief was left disappointed when the Home Office turned down a work permit for Alex's fellow Brazilian Henrique.

The striker, one of the hottest prospects in world football and top scorer at the Under 20 World Championships last year, expected to start training with Rangers this week.

But he will now head home as there is no appeal process and Hughes will have to look elsewhere.

    Hope its true.
This will give us a bit more money, and also get rid of someone we no longer need.

Paris Saint-Germain is expected to announce later Friday that Chelsea defender Alex will become the club's latest signing.

The 29-year-old Brazilian defender has played only three league games for Chelsea this season. His last appearance for coach Andre Villas-Boas' team was during a League Cup quarterfinal defeat against Liverpool two months ago.

PSG coach Carlo Ancelotti knows Alex well from his time at Chelsea. The rugged center half was part of the team that won the Premier League and FA Cup double under Ancelotti two seasons ago.

PSG signed Brazilian defender Maxwell from Barcelona earlier this month, taking its spending this season to about ?90 million ($129 million).

Hopefully later today, it will be announced on the official website.

No longer a rumour, it's been confirmed that Alex has signed for PSG for a fee believed to be around £4.2 million. From Sky:

    Alex makes PSG move
Centre-back to be unveiled in Paris after leaving Chelsea

Chelsea defender Alex is on Friday afternoon set to be unveiled as a new signing of Paris Saint Germain.

The centre-back's agent on Thursday confirmed the Brazilian preferred a move to France over the possibility of staying in London and joining Queens Park Rangers.

Talks have been taking place though the week between Alex and PSG and it is now thought a fee, believed to be in the region of €5million (£4.2m), has also been agreed with Chelsea.

And on Friday at a press conference, PSG boss Carlo Ancelotti - formerly manager at Stamford Bridge - announced the deal has been done.

The Italian said of Alex: "He will be a PSG player. It was a good opportunity given his price and his desire to join PSG."

The 29-year-old had in 2004 joined Chelsea from Santos and was loaned to PSV Eindhoven in the same year of his arrival until 2007.

Alex has not played for the Premier League club since the Carling Cup defeat to Liverpool at the end of November, having had a transfer request accepted.

Too right. It's alight for a couple of corporate muppets to call for a friendly atmosphere at tomorrow's game, but QPR supporters really are scum. Apparently they bricked the player's coach before and after the league game, and whispers abound that they plan to do the same tomorrow.

Take a look at this reaction to Alex joining PSG from a typically bitter, delusional QPR fan, calling himself The SourceFooty:

A real man never goes back on his word....shouldnt have expected more from a Chelsea player...scum

Alex agreed terms, had given his word he would sign.Club were sure it was done.Late interest PSG and ex boss seemed to have scampered us

"Club were sure it was done": In that case it goes to show that the entire institution are every bit as delusional as their half-witted supporters.

    And on JT:

Apparently @Joey7Barton has refused to shake John Terry's hand tomorrow. Rest of squad likely to follow suit

if true got more respect for @Joey7Barton now. Noow way any QPR player should shake John Terry's hand. We are not Sepp Blatter!

Chelsea really are scum, bullets in post now! Guarantee they will racist chant tomorrow, lets drown them out for Anton!

Simple fact, you bitter, twisted pikey freak, is that Alex is too good for QPha. This simple fact, acknowledged by all and sundry, barring the delusional pikes from W12. Shepherds Bush or Paris? Difficult choice, eh. Yeah right. Only in your minds you dozy arsed bunch of f*ckwits.

Says it all about QPha that their fans actually idolise Joey Barton. You'd have to go a long way to find a more perfect fit.

They hate us because they've lived in our shadow for their entire existence. They desperately yearn to be on a par with us, but never have been and never will. Not on any level. Deep down they know this to be true, they know full well just how insignificant they actually are. And this of course, just makes them all the more bitter,
