    New Kakuta loan deal

Plenty of rumours today that there could be a new loan deal in the pipeline for Gael Kakuta, whose time at Bolton has been pretty much wasted. Marseilles are said to be the current favourites, but Dijon and Olympiakos have also shown an interest. According to Dijon coach Patrice Carteron:

I have an agreement with Villas-Boas, but six clubs are interested in the player, including Marseille and Olympiakos, who have put more money on the table.'

If the following is to be believed, it looks like he'll be going to Dijon for his next loan spell:

I've Chosen Dijon - Chelsea Star Gael Kakuta Confirms Move

Chelsea forward Gael Kakuta has chosen to join Dijon on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 20-year-old spent the first six months of the campaign with Bolton Wanderers, but did not receive much in the way of playing time at the Premier League strugglers.

Nevertheless, Kakuta has had a number of options to boost his time on the pitch, with Greek giants Olympiacos and Didier Deschamps’ Marseille both keen on his services.

Dijon have however remained bullish over their chances of signing Kakuta on loan despite fierce competition for his signature.

Indeed, recently Les Rouge coach Patrice Carteron confirmed that Andre Villas-Boas had given the green light to the switch.

And now Kakuta has admitted he too has settled on Dijon.

"I chose to go to Dijon because I have seen them play and I like the way they play, there’s a lot to it", the Chelsea star told Canal+.

    "Patrice Carteron convinced me."

Dijon hope to tie up the deal within the next 24 hours.

According to this page Kakuta has finalised his loan move to Dijon for the rest of the season. In further news, Ben Gordon returns to Kilmarnock on loan, also for the rest of the season.

Hope he does well in France, he has been unlucky with his loans as the clubs he has went to have been in trouble. Maybe a return home will do him some good and see him become the player we all though he could be.

Totally agree. Kakuta's career seems to have been plagued with bad luck. He's still only 21, so there's still plenty of time for him to fulfil his undoubted potential.

Confirmation that the loan's been finalised, from Dijon and on the BBC:

Chelsea winger Gael Kakuta completes Dijon loan deal

Chelsea winger Gael Kakuta has joined French side Dijon on loan until the end of the season.

Kakuta, 21, has not made a league appearance for Chelsea this season and briefly went on loan to Bolton.

Last season, Chelsea loaned the France Under-21 international to Fulham, where he scored once in seven appearances.

Ligue 1 side Dijon announced the loan on their website but did not give more details on Kakuta, whose contract at Chelsea runs out in 2015.

It's also good to know he hasn't yet given up on making it at Stamford Bridge. From Sky:

Kakuta - I can succeed at Chelsea

French striker Gael Kakuta believes he has the talent to become a success at Chelsea, and hopes his loan move to Dijon will give him the experience he needs to improve as a player.

The 20-year-old forward - who has not featured for the Blues this season, but has played six matches on-loan at Bolton - has found first team opportunities hard to come by at Stamford Bridge, but feels his move to France's Ligue 1 will help develop his game.

"I could not be satisfied with a few minutes on the pitch," said Kakuta, who joined Chelsea's youth set-up in 2007. "I need more experience at Dijon to bounce back.

"I have to improve on physical and athletic levels, and being more mature in my game.

"In life there are ups and downs, but I know I have the right level to play at Chelsea. It was a kid's dream to go there.

"Even if I didn't play a lot, I learnt a lot. I have no regret. Some coaches trust young players, some not. But the club still trusts me."

And former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has had some words of encouragement for Kakuta, even though the Frenchman struggled for opportunities during the Italian's reign.

Ancelotti said: "He is a great talent. He needs to play a lot of matches. With me he didn't play a lot. In great clubs, it is difficult to play young players. He had such a problem at Chelsea. At Chelsea he lost some trust."
