Lukaku considers a summer loan move

Stoke have approached Chelsea with a view to signing striker Romelu Lukaku on loan, BBC Sport understands.

Lukaku, 18, only arrived at Stamford Bridge in early August and the Belgian made his Chelsea debut on Saturday in the 3-1 win over Norwich.

Meanwhile, the Potters are on the verge of signing Wilson Palacios from Tottenham for £6m with the 27-year-old midfielder set to have a medical.

Stoke have also been linked with Spurs striker Peter Crouch in recent days.

And Danish media are reporting that Arsenal forward Nicklas Bendtner could be on his way to the Britannia Stadium.

Chelsea signed Lukaku for about £20m on 6 August. He became a household name in Belgium when he was the top scorer in the domestic league in the 2009-2010 season at the age of 16.

He scored 16 goals in 37 league goals last season and scored his first international goals in a 2-0 win over Russia in November.

Well if we let him go on a loan, that means Kalou and Anelka are both staying, and our attack will be weak again...

I Don't think we can loan Lukaku (thank god) as a player can't switch teams in the premier league if he has been signed in the same window..

maybe they may let him go in january which i hope they dont. but this is what ive heard on another forum

Edit : it says it in the article link yoo have posted that he cant go on loan.

Could be rumors, but it will be good to loan him out for now.
    We have Torres and Drogba.

He's not eligible to go on loan during this transfer window, but could well be looking for a loan deal in the summer, depending on how things pan out for him over the rest of this season. From Sky:

    Lukaku considers loan move
Teenager wants to play and could make switch in the summer

Chelsea teenager Romelu Lukaku will seek a loan move next season if his first-team opportunities do not improve.

The 18-year-old Belgium striker is rated as one of Europe's leading prospects, but has played just seven times under Andre Villas-Boas since last August arriving from Anderlecht.

Fernando Torres, Didier Drogba and Daniel Sturridge are all ahead of Lukaku in the Chelsea manager's plans and a temporary transfer elsewhere could allow him the chance to develop.

Lukaku cannot join another club in the current window, having already played for two clubs this season, but he will in the summer discuss his future with Villas-Boas.

"If my situation at Chelsea does not evolve between now and the end of the season, it may be better to be loaned out for a season," the 18-year-old is quoted as saying by the Belga news agency.

"A loan this season is not possible, as I have already played for two different clubs (but) if this situation endures, it might be better to play for another club for a year and then come back.

"But let's see what happens in the next six months. Many things could still change."

I don't think AVB will risk playing him that much, because he still needs to improve his game. Sending him out on loan is the best option.

Rangers, because Scottish football is similar to the English football and it would benefit both Rangers and Chelsea. He won't be cup tied too.
