    Kevin de Bruyne

Genk midfielder Kevin de Bruyne hopes he can secure a move to Chelsea by the end of the month after claiming negotiations have begun over a possible transfer.

I've seen him play, he is very talented.
He is injured and Chelsea will most likely loan him to Genk for a year, so hopefully next season, he can play for us.
    What do you guys think?

Well no one will be leaving this season because of him, because he would obviously be loaned out.
Who knows who would leave next season, we might have new players coming and going.

Latest developments apparently, are that we're looking to sign De Bruyne next summer, and that he'll probably be going straight out on loan for a further 12 months.

De Bruyne is most likely better than Malouda. His crosses are generally quite accurate. I hope we get him, because he is young too.

I haven't seen much of him, to be honest. Apart from those couple of games we played against Genk, when I thought he looked far and away their best player.

According to latest reports, we're looking to sign De Bruyne during the current transfer window, but that if we do sign him, he'll remain at Genk on loan for the rest of the season. From Sky:

    Genk confirm Chelsea talks
    Belgians in London for talks

Genk have confirmed that they are in talks with Chelsea about the transfer of starlet Kevin De Bruyne.

Chelsea first tried to sign the highly-rated winger last summer, but talks broke down without an agreement being reached.

The Blues have maintained their interest and now they have re-opened talks with a view to sealing an £8million deal.

It is understood Chelsea would be willing to let De Bruyne complete the season on-loan back at Genk.

Genk revealed their director of sport, Dirk Degraen, had flown to London to complete talks with Chelsea.

"Dirk Degraen is in London and the expectation is that it (the transfer of De Bruyne) will be finished this week," a Genk spokesman said.

"The assumption is that Kevin de Bruyne will be transferred to Chelsea and then will finish the season (on loan) at Genk."

Should the deal be finalised it will see Chelsea's third raid on Belgium in just six months after they also completed deals for Romelu Lukaku and De Bruyne's former Genk team-mate Thibaut Courtois.

So if we do sign him, he won't help us right now, but when Malouda retires or leaves, then we could have him playing on the left.

What do you mean by "he a reach"? Is this another of these words that means something different in America?

It's a good move but the bad thing about it is we won't get him inn our team till the next season.

Perhaps. But maybe it's best to secure his services now in readiness for the future. Assuming the deal does go through, and that he won't be going on loan next season, De Bruyne will have had the benefit of a full pre-season when he does join up with us.

This is always assuming that the "assumption" outlined above does in fact turn out to be the case.

KDB is a must buy. WHY?

Young, talented, skillful, fast. Incredible passes, loves Chelsea.

We really need new fresh talents in squd. KDB is one of them. As i said he is young and this is exactly what we need. He is talented, fast and skillful NATURAL WINGER. He can play on left wing and mata could play behind striker. Mata as a attacking midfielder as SILVA is at City<---amazing. He'd become Silva or even better

I heard they were in talks with him during the weekend and apparently a deal will be made.

Got like 2 more days left before the transfer window closes, so if we don't hear anything then its probably just rumours.

You're right. Reports that he's having a medical have reached the Mail now:

De Bruyne having Chelsea medical as Genk winger closes in on £9m switch

Kevin de Bruyne is having a medical at Chelsea ahead of his £9million move to Stamford Bridge.

The Blues have been trying to sign Genk winger Bruyne since last summer and are finally about to get their man.

De Bruyne is set to sign a five-and-a-half-year deal.

If we do sign De Bruyne, it'll at least give them something to talk about on tomorrow night's Transfer Window Special on Chelsea TV.

On TalkSport they're saying that we have signed De Bruyne, and that he'll be loaned back (i.e. staying with) Genk for the rest of the season. More to follow.
